Puzzling price action after study results. Drug has blockbuster potential, and skittish Wall Street has opened up a window of opportunity for those willing to wait out the volatility. This is a real money pick for me, both long the shares and short March07 puts.

Reasons to buy EMIS:
1) Secondary offering in May is now priced in
2) Most recent quarterly loss was less than expected, company is managing costs effectively
3) Partnered with Big Pharma
4) Pending approvals for oral formulations in 4Q06.

Risks:
1) Applications for delivery mechanisms not approved or delayed.
2) No new development deals (thus no milestone/up-front payments)
3) Only enough cash to last through 4Q 2007.
4) Young biotech company, could be classified as a one-trick pony but similar to FLML Technologies in that novel delivery mechanism could change drug delivery paradigm.
