Emerson Electric Co is hardly a small cap. This is a global company that competes very succesfully in a competetive global market. Their automation division is unrivaled in both the product quality and the depth of support they provide to their customers....primarily in the power generation segment. Keep in mind that the support they provide is also a part of their revenue stream and things like training and operator certifiication will continue to provide handsom profits.
