The recent management decision to reduce dividend payments and use that capital to reduce debt is actually a positive for future performance.
The natural gas industry as a whole needs sustained prices above $5 per mcf to support the necessary economics for exploration and drilling.
Current legislation and future energy policy clarification may result in up to a 40% pop within the next 18 to 24 months.

Recovering company, much better managed, with natural gas E&P and distribution---well poaitioned in NG for the future.

natural gas is the low-hanging-fruit regarding lower emissions, it is cheap now...

Debt levels way too high. Doable, but it won't be pretty.

With gas prices on the bottom, EP
is paying ff debt as quickly as they can.
Prices are going^^^^ andso is the profit.

The ratio of oil to Nat gas is at all time highs. Either oil comes back down (which i don't think it will) or nat gas prices go back up. I love the whole nat gas sector as a whole right now

I think this stock has potential down the road but won't be a boom

Another natural gas play. Seems like these stocks have been beaten down, looking for a recovery prior to heating season

Oil and gas industry will see some price increases in the future, and I think that this will eventually be a 20 plus dollar stock in the future. Good company, low price.

It's EP, what else can you say. Oil prices will correct and this stock will take off again.

This company appears to have a bright future and the stock price has plenty of room to recover and grow. El Paso now has multiple ways to grow earnings with a roughly $8 billion backlog of pipeline projects and several years of drilling prospects. That sounds like a solid future to me.

I like El Paso because several years ago they brought in Doug Foshee (CEO & Rice Univ. Grad.) to run the company. They developed a business plan, shed non-core assets, and paid down the company debt. They have consistantly outperformed their competition since and have a lot of room to grow. I beleive this stock took an unjust beating during the current market situation but will flourish as the market slowly comes back. Given the extended winter up north their next quarter should also beat expectations. Additionally natural gas appears to be major part of the current administrations energy plans going forward. I have significant postions and beleive so much in this company that I have based my retirement on this stock coming back strongly in the next 12-16 months..

I've day traded this stock since the market crash in Oct. You can't keep this position down! I've been burned by that way of thinking about EP. Luckily I learned quick and since have more than made up for harsh lesson of negative thinking. Time after time EP has outperformed ALL the major markets. Should this market survive the socialist infiltration of our White House and stablize, I'll be keeping this stock in my permanent portfolio. Until then it's a heck of a way to make a LOT of quick money. Just be sure to study this stock closely first. Watch how it trends.
