I'm agnostic about the whole oil-services boom (yes, there's going to be a boom, but it's not as though the market hasn't heard about it), so this isn't a bet on that. It's a bet on, yanno, value. Ensco is just way too cheap, and the $3 dividend looks good to me.

Deep sea exploration is increasing; Ensco is well-positioned to exploit that increase.

Looks cheap with good growth. Young fleet, good dividend and payout ratio.

Ensco is in for the deep-water drilling boom/recovery. Compare it with Seadrill, Atwood, Noble etc. Earnings are improving for the past 3 years.
Coupled with a healthy balance sheet and shareholder friendly management (dividend growth 17% from 2009), Ensco is poised for much growth.

Reasonably low price to book value, debt to equity, dividend payout ratio, price to earnings, and EV/EBITDA. Good dividend and return on equity. Solid current ratio.

Tremendous balance sheet, AAA client list, plenty of room to run.. like SDRL, what's not to like?

The numbers look great! (PS does anyone know why their dividend jumped from .025 per share to .35 per share roughly 3 years ago. Big jump - did they merge with another company or something? Thanks...)

little pullback gives me a chance to mark down this deep-sea driller. I'm bullish on oil for the next 5 years.
