A beaten down oil/gas MLP. Has a nice yield, substantial proven reserves and the ability to increase their dividend if prices, especially gas, continue to rise. Up $7 or so from 52 week low and well below its 52 week high....good income with a chance for a nice cap gain.
Recs
Expected earnings growth in the quadruple digits as it has large reserves of natural gas and oil, along with cash.
Recs
this in an exploration and production master limited partnership. It incurs no taxes and is able to payout higher cash distributions as a result. It has also been increasing its production and reserves annually.

Low forward PE and 5* CAPS

Looks like a solid company. The numbers look good, natural gas is cleaner than coal and oil which will satisfy those environmentally conscious people who aren't using renewable energy.
Recs
high dividend, low PE, 1.2 price/book. US Emissions regulations are going to favor natural gas generators over Coal in the next few years which I think will help EVEP.
Recs
Nat gas play with heavy insider purchasing. Numbers are sound too.

If oil and natural gas prices remain strong, EVEP will do well. They have added several buyouts of oil and gas properties since IPO.

Great fundamentals, and solid management. Good resources and cost structure. Everyone always needs energy!

EV Energy Partners, the Texas based master limited partnership (MLP) is primarily an oil and gas producer, involved in the business of acquisition, production and development of oil and gas properties. With properties located mainly in Appalachian Basin and Monroe field, the company holds a net proved reserve of about 44.8 billion cubic feet of gas and 1.1 million barrels of oil. Its business operations are quite similar to most of its oil and gas counterparts, where selling oil and gas generates the crux of the revenues, while hedging in commodity derivates also create sizable realized and unrealized income.
The company has been following acquisition strategy to achieve inorganic growth for its shareholders. While the improved exploration and rise in prices, act as the driver to achieve organic growth for the company. The future for the company looks exciting as the Appalachian Basin, which is one of the key properties of the company consist of highly unexplored basin with an area of approximately 1,80,000 square miles and is the largest onshore basin in the U.S. While the current rise in households heating demand, improved industrial usage and production cuts announced by OPEC, give a clear indication of the continued rising trend of oil and gas prices.
Looking ahead, EV Energy Partners will significantly gain from the newly acquired gas properties in Michigan, while the recent agreement to buy additional natural gas properties in the Monroe Field of North Louisiana will further add 2,800 wells and 65.4 billion cubic feet to the its natural gas reserves. This rise in reserves can be seen as a positive sign, especially in case of highly encouraging prices outlook in 2007. Moreover, unlike other MLP’s where incentive distribution to the general partners is as high as 50% of the cash distribution, the incentive distribution to EV Energy Partners general partners is limited to 25%, which can prove highly beneficial to its share holders in the long run. Further, as more than 60% of its oil and gas production is hedged at sturdy prices, EV Energy Partners appears on its way, for delivering a strong performance in 2007.
