I believe France will be behind the renewal of interest in nuclear power. Also as a western European powerhouse of trade and export I think France will ride out the euro-zone uncertainties and be in a dominant position regardless of where the EFSF and the other euro-zone bureaucracies settle -- in the (maybe very) long run.

Low debt levels compared to other OECD countries. Would be hit less hard by deleveraging?

Bottom line - No job opportunities in France. Their labor laws are socialist. Their may be growth, but the S&P 500 will outperform.

Sarkozy is going to be the catalyst behind this ETF. With his pending movements to reform welfars, labour markets, and tax laws in France, the greater French economy should see growth momentum like Germany has seen recently. Shroeder was the catalyst behind Germany, as Sarkozy will be here. A great long term hold.

Moi, j'aime la France. C'est un pays très joli. Ils ont les meilleurs fromages, vins, and chocolats du monde. Je ne peux pas vivre en France, mais je peux achèter Français.
