iShares MSCI Brazil Index (ETF) (AMEX:EWZ)

Looking for some good growth in Brazil.

Top emerging market, the B in BRIC, they run their cars on sugar ethanol, which costs less to produce than the corn based type AND produce enough oil to export. Morningstar rates EWZ 5 stars.

Assuming you buy in in the 50s, I believe it will return quite a bit. Brazil's booming (duh), and they've had several key milestones in recent history. For example, they're modernizing their military, involving nothing less than a fully-operational aircraft carrier with actual fighter jets.

Plus, lots of good stuff comes from Brazil--coffee, lumber, gas, etc. There's always a demand for this, and this demand grows over time.

Anyway, for lack of a better post, it's a good ETF.

the us market is in a big slide and puting money in other market may be a safe bet for now. by end of year market will bottom out and then reinvest is US stocks.

Brazil is the country that will be least affected by the "r" in the US, UK and Euroland. It has so many natural resources that will sustain its industry in the long run.

Brazil has now righted the ship and should be a source of high growth in the near term

I believe EWZ will outperform primarily due to their economic stability; they currently have a low reliance on foreign oil, w/ estimates of 80% reliance on ethanol for energy production. They have a stable economy, which doesn't hurt...

Latin America is like a no brainer right now.

There isn't a better positioned country to gain ground from the growth in energy and exports than Brazil.

This is actually an ETF for Brazil that has been doing very well. The Brazilian market is booming right now and with oil prices where they are that isn't likely to change soon. You may be able to score faster wins by looking at some of the energy stocks in this index and buying those instead.

Quite a run so far, but with all those natural resources, room to keep going.

Brazil has it all going for it. A strong growing economy, rising real estate, good inport and export. The financials are doing great in this country and they are also great miners with lots of upside in this commodity arena. It seems all of the adr's from Brazil just keep going and I am onboard for the trade.
