There are currently no analysts covering EXAS, but in a few months there will be BUY recs by a few sell side analysts. These BUY recs will bring in institutional buyers which will drive the stock price up dramatically. There will be new health legislation that will pay for routine screening without co-pays. EXAS is developing the best non invasive FDA approved test now. The time to BUY is before the large institutions hear about EXAS from the sell side analysts.

New management has great credentials from past success, and sell side analysts will pick up coverage in the next few months with strong buys. New health legislation will push prevention, and pay for tens of millions of Americans to get free screening for diseases that can be prevented such as Colon cancer. EXAS will get FDA approval for the best non invasive way to screen for Colon cancer. The shares are under the radar screen now but that will change once analysts publish buy recs. Now is the time for retail investors to purchase for rapid appreciation over the next few months, and for years to come.

I believe EXAS is greatly undervalued, and will appreciate stongly over the next several years, probably with strong gains from here within a few months. An unexpected reversal of FDA policy a couple of years ago, compounded by terrible general market conditions and management not up to the challenge, combined to drive it way down despite exclusive long term control of very strong technology for a huge, underserved market (colon cancer screening). The negative factors that drove it down have been effectively dealt with, and the primary remaining obstacle is for the market to learn about it. As new management makes more details of their plans public over the next few months, I expect price to appreciate strongly.

Company has large upside gap potential with a new screening test for colon cancer due several important decisions in the next few months.

Buy under 4 with spec money.

Let's see, would you prefer an invasive test for colon cancer, or a non-invasive one?

With the former CEO of Exact Sciences being hired on by Labcorp, it seems as if there creating a tighter bond between both companies. The product is solid, version 2 of the Pre-Gen Plus looks to be in the 90% detection rate according to a study done by Mount Sinai School of Medicine. With this hard evidence as well as their acceptance of their medicare application in early 2008 could spark good things for Exact.

Exact Sciences' lead product is a DNA-based, non-invasive colorectal screening test, currently being marketed by LabCorp [LH] as PreGen-Plus. Proven much more effective than invasive procedures. The product is likely to be included in revised Multi-Society Task Force guidelines for colorectal screening some time in November 2007. PreGen-Plus is likely to be recommended for screening asymptomatic individuals over age 50 with normal risk factors for colorectal cancer at an interval of every three or five years.

That's a target population of 80 million people - just in the United States.
