Nuclear power is cheap, efficient and clean. It is safe as well. The new energy is simply an old one revisited.

Excelon (EXC) is a good stock for those who want to cash in on the increase in nuclear power production.
At the current price of about 49½, the p/e is less than 12 and the dividend is about 4¾%.

These sob's have no hope to beat the market unless cap and trade saves them. I just hope this country is smart enough to not let that happen.

Nuke power is the cleanest option out there and with potential greenhouse-gas regulation to be passed as early as the end of 2010, we are talking a serious competitive advantage for EXC. Plus the stock is cheap comparing to the historical levels this stock trades at.

One of the best run utilities in US. I like nuclear, so pick your poison in clean energy, but they are the top dog by far. Growth potential lies in cap & trade with a very good and covered current dividend to balance some of the growth stocks in portfolio. People need their lights turned on.

There's a number of reasons to pick this stock, but I'll point out my top 2.

1.) Climate control legislation is on its way. With the conclusion of the Copenhagen conference, whether you feel it was effective or not, climate control is on everyone's mind. There will undoubedtly be a push in the US Congress soon after the Health Care reform winds down. Any legislation is likely to push for cleaner energy and one of the best clean energy options out there is Nuclear power. Although other options exist (solar, wind, etc.), none are technologically advanced enough to produce the energy that nuclear power can.

2.) 4.3% dividend from a very stable company.

Nuclear energy: Clean, low cost source of power, will benefit from cap and trade legislation. Will the enviros let us build more nuclear power plants?

Slow steady growth, strong cash flow, improving regulatory relationships, opportunity to expand two plants and balance sheet to support expansion when appropriate,

Nukes have been the future for 40 years, I'd politely suggest the future is now. Someone has to supply the people who are supplying California with power since the hippies won't let Cali have any real power plants themselves. So with this, my loss is also my gain.

Look for more clean energy opps in the next 2 years. This seems to be one of the best out there in the nuc industry.

Nuclear plants with low costs relative to others. Prices seem relatively low at the moment with a P/E of 11.16. The dividend yield is 4.43% which compares with long term bonds. This gives some stability in a deflationary environment with a little better protection in an inflationary one as utilities can often get price increases passed when inflation takes off.
If carbon taxes kick in this should give them an additional boost.
