If they can avoid going bankrupt this one should hit 15 in a couple of years. They have a better line up of fuel efficient vehicles compared to GM and Chrysler. This stock is not for the faint of Heart, it could go out of business or be sold on the cheap.

Ford has the Flex coming out this summer and I think it will be a hit. Other new models are in the pipeline and also looking good. Expect the next two quarters to be positive on all the hype and then a return to mediocrity because, after all, it is Ford we are talking about here. As long as they keep branding they're automobiles with that blue sheild and that antiquated "Ford" script they are never going to appeal to the generation "Y" demographic. Nothing says "grandfather" more than that "Ford" logo from 1908. Add to that the Focus is a complete basket case and you have short term gain and long term sink hole. Four or five years from now Toyota is gonna buy them out, not because Toyota want's Ford, but because Toyota covets Mazda

Cash for clunkers took a lot of good used cars off the market so the inventory for used cars is low. When the economy picks up so will this stock. You can barely buy a home with perfect credit, but one can always get a new car even with bad credit.

I'm late on this one, but I still think we will see massive underperformance on this one. Their cars stink. Their quality is almost non-existent. I wouldn't have a Ford car if you gave it to me. Now their trucks are a different matter. They seem to make those very well. Problem is that most folks (including me) aren't going to be buying an 18MPG vehicle with gas prices over $2 (and likely will be $3 within a year or 18 months). I may want that F150, but I have to prioritize feeding my family over feeding a truck.

It is sad, but I would not be surprised if Ford goes out of business in the next decade. Unless they can orchestrate a dramatic turn-around, which they show little signs of doing.

Mullaly is taking the decision power away from the bean-counters. The engineers and the customers know what's best for this company. He's been there one year, what he's done has begun to turn the company around. (example, Resurrected the Taurus name, after the bean counters cancelled the name of the car that helped turn Ford around the last time.)

Long term should make serious gains, just look at the technicals. Short, who knows, but it probably is a low risk stock at this level.

Ford is at least attempting to adapt and reconform to the new trends. If they do it right they will be back on track.

Ford is going to need time to retool for the loss of the F150 and SUV market they are a strong company and will recover as they have a strong loyal customer base and after they adjust to production of the more fuel effecient vehicles they will be back

Seems kind of un-american to be betting against one of the big three. But, does not look good for Ford, for now.
