They will continue to cut costs and in the short term, they will be originating mortgages up the wazoo. This stock was .60 and now its hovering around $2.00 and poised to run up to around $4.00

Although it's earnings went up, I think this sector (financial sector) is still shaky and not very stable and for that reason I think one need to avoid it unless you are planning to buy for the long-term....

Many loans have gone without being payed off by the people, the banks are making high risk loans, so these types of companies are not doing so hot right now. Happy investing!

This is very responsible lender none of the mortgage brokers used back in the day becuase many other lenders were offering more pay for easier to get loans.
They do not have big portfoilio of crappy loans. And, right now, many brokers are using them for the loans still being originated. Their loan volume of good quality loans is GROWING !

Trading at discount to book value. Will survive mortgage crisis. Will gain market share, spreads will increase, cost of funding is getting cheaper due to fed cuts. Potentially valuable core deposit franchise in branch network. Takeover or privitization candidate.

low P.E., good fundamentals, much better stock than recent price movements show. Will be a winner down the road if you can wait on it.
