Newer and smaller bank with plenty of room to grow. Excellent marketing campaign.
Recs
Not much in earnings growth recently, but lots of cash on hand and not so much debt. Low payout ratio, high institutional ownership. I don't know about this one in a regular portfolio, especially given that the dividend doesn't seem too steady. But it's worth a caps chance, or maybe 0.5%.

Established bank with solid earnings and a strong balance sheet that is undervalued with many other financials. The next few years will shake out the doubt.
Recs
Volume since late October has been declining, the advance-decline line and momentum indicators have not confirmed the latest highs, and sentiment indicators are frothy. As confidence in the recovery breaks down and money managers lock in 2009 profits, equities will fall—especially banks that have risen excessively in the last six months.

This met a high level screen to indicate a buy and strong outperform against its peers (other tickers in its industry). My 1st version of this spreadsheet devles deep into the company's balnace sheet and recent income statements, combined with other relevant price data for the company including insider/institutional holdings, short interest, debt levels, etc.
Testing capabilities of this 1st version of my automated, valuation spreadhseet matched with my personal criteria and see how it holds up.

Subprime mortgage scare is not over yet, dividend is remarkable but WAY too high... I see the stock falling to $9 per share before rebound...
Also, FFBC is a regional bank- not the greatest type of company for long-term growth
Recs
I can't understand why a regional bank stock trades @ a p.e. of over 27. Good dividend but I don't see how the price can possibly appreciate.
