+ Watch FNV
on My Watchlist
Everything is wrong for gold now. Low inflation, reducing US money printing (taper) and a big fat target at $1000. FNV will likely fall further as worries of production shutdown will hurt lease margins or productivity of lands. It's so bad I've almost convinced myself to buy it. :)
Their income pipeline and the streaming model is exceptionally attractive.
Precious Metals are all going to POP to the upside now that all the evil Bullion Banks, ESPECIALLY JPM, HSBC, and Scotia (3 of the total 6) are done manipulating the paper price, providing a phenomenal contrarian play for entry into the Miners (which re down between 75-90%!!!) that have good B/S and Cash, along with plentiful mines that afford them access to Au and Ag for very good prices. The Miners who pay around $1150-$1200/oz are the ones who will benefit the MOST at first, as their margins have been squeezed to NOTHING! FNV stands to benefit immediately and handsomely, as their input costs are just $76/Oz, which is only beat by RGLD, which pays only $1 less at $75/oz, but w/o the fabulous Cash:Debt (they have a negative Current Ratio, much like EVERY OTHER Gold Miner and 85% of the Major Silver Miners DO) and more importantly, RGLD has very few reserves left juxtapose FNV. Furthermore, FNV has BOATLOADS of Silver as well! FNV pays just $76 per OZ mined, and has an impeccable B/S, with a Current Ratio of over 8 & VAST reserves of BOTH GOLD and Silver. Plus it operates it's Mines in the Friendly confines of North America!! It is, w/o question, THE BEST GOLD MINER in existence today!
Best way to play gold. Safe pick and outperforms GLD.
The P/E is a little high. lol
In a recent interview, the CEO called his company a "gold ETF on steroids". A chart comparison with GLD shows why he made such a bold statement.
Good holdings, gives dividens, good management & gold is heading higher.
this gold royalty company will only get better with the inevitable rise in gold prices...without all of the risks that "picks and shovels" miners have to deal with..dividend should dampen volativity
One of the major gold streamers along with RGLD and SLW. Basically the financial sector...but them for mining ;) Leveraged with the gold, silver and platinum prices.
The royalty model is what is kicking ass and will continue to. Franco, like Royal Gold get's paid right off the top and is unaffected by rising costs in mining. Very little shares outstanding, rapidly increasing cash flow, and a monthly dividend. This one is a no brainier in a gold bull market.
An an amazing royalty company charging along
Insane Cash Flow .
