outperform. company is HIGH in cash. not terribly overvalued, and is likely to kill S&P 500 where it is at today's levels.
additionally these companies are not within the financials nor energy sectors.
Recs
Lots of cash and strong-looking gold projects, plus key funding partners like NEM and a competent technical team.
Recs
FRG has a too high valuation compared to its sales potential. Its current sales are nil, and so is loss making.
Moreover the company is incorporated in Vancouver, Canada, and is listed via the AMEX.

Crazy ride, but seems to be finding it's path. I like the recent Labrador investments, and FRG still has cash. I'm not a gold hermit, but like what these guys are doing.

Jstegma's (99.82 rating) pitch on ABX. I reprint it here, "There is a lot of dumb money in gold. The same sort of people who bought into the dot-com boom in 1999 and bought into the housing boom in 2006 and believed oil was going to $500 a barrel last summer.
Now it looks like oil is going to $5 a barrel and gold is going to $5000. Or maybe my friends the "dumb money" will continue their streak of idiotic rallies that end in tears."

Long Canyon's first 43-101 due out soon is going to surprise some people. I think the numbers are going to be good with great upside.

Cash on hand, debt free, abundant quality resources, and fire sale pricing makes this a viable long term play

Issued buyout for AXU.TO in stock offering resulting in $1.57 cash per share. Once the moratorium on uranium mining ends in Labrador this thing will skyrocket.

Trying to catch the bottom, and ride a previous metals rebound.

Turkey is a solid market and there is a lot of opportunity given their other assets in copper and uranium. the gold play is a nice hedge.

Was uranium company with gold kicker; now seems to be gold company with uranium kicker. Since taking off a few years ago (presumably pure speculation) it has come back down but bottoming out at $4. It is actually making money now and has no debt. Could blow up ... or down.

TMFSinch's pitch, no debt, increasing equity and cash flow.
Gold! Going against Specbear, very possibly to my detriment.

Looking at a 3yr timeframe on this trade. FRG is currently trading at about .9 of book value. I'm betting on their ability to prove reserves on their current gold assets.
Latest press release on on of their Nevada strikes looks favorable and they think they can post proven, and probable reserves in 2008. (Proven and probable = much better than indicated).
FRG has plenty of cash on hand to continue exploration efforts. A partnership with NEM could prove fruitful in the next 36 months, and FRG is benefiting from exploration at their Sandman property on NEM's dime (to the tune of 3million).
All FRG assets are in politically stable countries (US. Canada, Turkey). FRG also made a major Uranium discovery and have a large stake in a company formed to exploit this find.
Bottom line big GOLD, COPPER, and URANIUM exposure. Don't expect revenue any time soon. Price appreciation will come from increased valuations on company assets as they continue to prove reserves, make new discoveries, and attempt to acquire mineral assets in promising regions.
I have placed a limit purchase at 4.00 for my real portfolio

Uranium stocks currently are way undervalued. FRG is a premier explorer in this field.

They are a Gold Company

This stock is just dirt cheap and is trading at book value. Its uranium deposits will continue to grow in value as there is a global shortage of this very important mineral. It has some very good gold deposits as well.
