Almost no debt, revenue and earnings are going higher fast, dividend is sure to grow over the next couple years. This should be a solid stock to own for the long term.

It is a well managed company. The downside is the industry segment isn't exciting and economy driven. While they have been doing well in the recent past, I am not that sure they will continue if the economy begins to tank. Eecent effort to buy a supply company might cause a one year slow down as the new addition is brought into their management style.

Lots of cash, should benefit from increased infrastructure spending.

FSTR supplies a lot of the products that will be needed for Osama's rebuild of the nations infrastructure, such as bridge piling and decking, cement railroad replacement ties, seamless rails and the products to secure them. They also do fabracated highway products. Another section is tubular products to help rebuild the water delivery systems inplace in the large cites that are old and crumbling. By doing it inplace means, a lot lease disruption to the streets above, whichis what the large city mayors want. They also own a small rail line to the wyoming coal country, the clean burning stuff that Osama wants in the plants that still use coal.

A company tied primarily to infrastructure with plenty of room to grow. Should see some solid gains in the coming years.

Want Safety? Go With Graham
(http://biz.yahoo.com/ts/081015/10442586.html?.v=1)

Benjamin Graham in the Medical Economist 1976...his method was simple: He wanted an earnings yield twice that of the AAA bond but never more than 10 times earnings. As a financial test, the company should own twice what it owes. With AAA bond yields around 5.5%, this equates to a max P/E ratio of 9 times earnings. After adding the equity and debt constraints I found 205 stocks that fit the criteria.

I found some interesting stocks on the on the list that are worth the attention of long-term investors. I usually screen on asset-based criteria, so this was something of an eye-opener for me. I'll be adding this to my regular weekly screening runs.

One name that I found particularly appealing was LB Foster . The company is in a pretty good business. It provides products for infrastructure, primarily in railroads, highway and bridge construction and oil pipeline construction. These are all areas that should see significant spending in the years ahead -- I have already posited that infra has the potential to be the next bubble sector in the stock market over the next decade

One of my top three picks for 2008 (http://caps.fool.com/Blogs/ViewPost.aspx?bpid=58531&t=01001664020471485901). After this company got beaten down I actually picked up some shares for my real account. This company is magnetized to good news. In an absolutely fabulous business for this economy. They've also beat analysts' expectations the last 8 times in a row. Proven growth, little debt, high ROE/ROI/ROA, lots of cash on hand. This stock also got hammered for no good reason. What do we do? Well, I know many of you don't like Cramer but his advice has always been, "Buy broken stocks not broken companies." Well this stock got shattered and it's time to pick up the pieces and bank some money. This stock will gain a cool 20 points by 2009. For those who doubt you can sit back and watch.

Play the #s & ratio's Ignore symbol catch dips. Simple but works for this supremely nonsophistacated new investor.

Can you say cheap!? P/E of 3 in a industry with 4x that! Share buyback, plenty of growth. All this thing needs is a dividend to keep the shorts off it's back.

Over $10 is cash; P/E of 3. I'm hoping this one comes in a little bit so I can have a real good entry point, since it is up 40+% from it's lows.

Looks like a "head and shoulders" formation on the chart. That usually means DOWN.
