With inflation growing at 8.7% YOY (with likely further tightening ahead), index levels at or above U.S. Bubble levels (even after there recent fall), as well as the myriad of problems we face here at home...odds (in my humble opinion) are to the downside.

Um. Happen to see the chart of PetroChina for the last three months? Nothing can sustain that sort of uptick. FXP seems like a interesting way to play many of these. Long term I would say this one is an in and out trade. At the moment worried that a 25% one day slide could reck our markets. Actually wanted to say 38%, but that just seemed silly. After the 08 olympics I think we could see a horrendous downside in china.

I believe that the China stock market is in the process of correcting. This stock moves in reverse of the market at twice the multiple. Once the correction is over[ a few weeks?] this stock will probably do poorly & I would sell it unless you are heavy in the Chinese market and would like to keep this as a protective put.
