It's definitely true that Giant Interactive (GA) is a stable, financially strong company located in the hot Chinese gaming market. However, mountains of cash do not inherently translate into creative game design, and until GA gets a deep pipeline of games with potential going, they are NOT going to outperform the general market. in short, it's all about the games!
