GE is well positioned to advantage of government spending around the world on large scale infrastructure projects (desalination, nukes, and refrigerators big enough to hold the amount of beer required by construction teams).

There are too many companies out there with better fundamentals whose stock prices have fallen substantially farther than GE's. GE has massive debt, potentially crippling exposure to financial markets, and not nearly enough cash to insure against… More

GE will test its March lows. Safe to buy at $6 or below. Stay away from GE right now.

With the US economy contracting as it will and real unemployment hitting the 15-18% area, GE is one of the Worlds greatest industrial giants and the Governments around the World will be forced to turn to infrastructure, public works and energy production such as wind which means GE among a few others, but none bigger, to keep the economies moving. GE is positioned to reap a huge share of that work. The financial sector of the company will still take some hits but overall it only accounts for less then 20% of the business and I believe that all the financial losses have already been priced into the stock.

GE is diversified among many various industries and this has it's advantages and disadvantages.

Being a "mini" indicator of the general market itself due to it's diversity, i feel that outperforming should happen, however one should not expect super results.

This is due to the fact that not all industries do well at the same time and GE, due to its diversity, will probably be affected by it too.

The current low in my opinion is the result of the markets judgment of the financial industries on a whole.

As global recovery picks up, GE shouldl be brought up along if they do not do anything questionable.

In my opinion GE is a great relatively stable stock with potential of good dividends. A potential buy and hold you may say.
