The stock trades at a relatively low value when compared it's peers and I think it will have sig areas of growth including the industrial internet. You are paid well from the dividend while you wait

GE's oil and gas division should be boosted by the changes in the shale oil industry to reduce natural gas flaring. They are also restructuring to simplify their business, which should reduce some of the volatility as well.

Almost like buying an index fund, but not quite. Nonetheless, GE's not going anywhere, and eventually that'll prove positive for its stock price.

Two words: Turbine Engines. No matter what form of power you use to generate electricity you ultimate need a turbine engine to convert the raw power into electricity.

GE is involved in many important growth markets - energy, water purification, 3D printing, etc. In addition, they pay a nice dividend.

Love GE as a 'hold until retirement' company. And that's 40+ years for me.

Very diversified. Doesn't just make light bulbs. Once it gathers momentum it should do well.

This stock is still too low after the beating it took from their real estate division a few years ago. This company has too many products used by too many people to be sitting at this price. I'm buying this for the long haul.

General Electric is a company that I would not want to bet against. GE has a world-class brand and a world-class portfolio of products that ranges from jet engines to light bulbs. The company has been one of the most relevant companies of the last century, and it's not going anywhere, yet. With its eyes towards a future that emphasizes energy production, aerospace technologies, as well as other long-term needs, General Electric is continuing to innovate and provide high-quality solutions to the most complicated problems. I'm pretty sure that there aren't very many management teams in the entire world that could do what GE does on a daily basis. If this company hasn't been taken out yet, I don't know what will. If you believe in the general strength of North America and the global economy for the next 50 years, you can't go wrong with this titan.

Shedding non-moat businesses and concentrating on high moat. Short term costs, long term gains.

Strong as a stock can get, Immelt finally did the right thing and brought GE back to it's industrial roots. Spinning off teh credit business was a smart move. Industrial orders are in the BILLIONS in back order, once executed GE will see even more revenue growth.

Sh-it company based on long term capital accumulation but debt accumulation has outpaced the their ability to innovate cost effective solutions to advance new business ventures quick enough to off-set the drag.
