Geron Corp (NASDAQ:GERN)

Geron is soon to be the one and only drug development company to be able to offer personalized cancer treatments. In the long run I believe this could prove to be extremely profitable BUT before this happens GERN will more than likely be purchased by one of the large cap Pharma's looking to add to their pipeline. I think the FDA will certainly provide the necessary insentives to speed along this promising technology so we could see a rapid appreciation of this stock price - I'm setting my 1 yr price target at $18-$20.

Decade of research, large patent portfolio, right areas: Stem Cell Leader, along with strong oncology portfolio. Huge pent up growth potential. I see royalty and winning drug revenue coming to Geron.

geron corp. isn,t a stock investment. its more of a ticket to immortality, assuming share holders can get preferential access to the immortality pill. about ten years ago i heard the president of geron speak about this pill on tv. but right after his little anouncement about immortality he was disappeared. I have read that he went to work at some university in the midwest, but i don,t believe it. anyway he said the pill would sell for about fifteen bucks, . i would like to know from you fools if any of this is true, i'm begining to think i'm dillusional. thanks

This company is on the verge of making a couple of not only anti cancer drugs, but anti aging drugs as well. This company has not done well in the past, and has under performed, but it has remained one of the best Biotech company's around. I believe with in the next couple of years will finally turn a profit on it's drugs.

Geron's business plan: "to design & develop telomerase inhibitor to stop the growth of malignant tumors". (Telomerase seems to have the triggering program-apparently involving half-lives similar to inorganic elements with half-lives-) for starting and stopping cell growth)
They involved top researchers @ the frontier of research in this area. They were able to develolp test for existence of malignant tumors but have made no major effort to market such.
They have developed TATOOO2 which seems to "stimulate the porduction of IFN-gamma-a molecule involved in the antiviral response of cytotoxic CD8 TT-cells sepcific for he HIV-1AIDS virus -- and to enhance the ability of CED8 cells to proliferate and kill HIV -1-infected cells.(Aug. 21, 06 they presennted data on this HIV/AIDS Drug Candidate @ Intntl. Aids Conf. in Toronto.)

RECOMMENEDATE: WATCH FOR DEVELOPPMENTS; IF AND WHEN MARKETABILITY IN THESE "blockbuster" markets comes into forcus accumulate a little and if and when strategic partner for marketing emerges re-evaluate.
