gold is on its way up when the dollar weakens. It's undervalued at the moment. Oversold. Rule No.1: Never lose money. Rule No.2: Never forget rule No.1. Gold is very safe.

Hard to figure why this stock trades lower now than when gold when around $650 a while back. I think gold miners are out of fashion because the money flows in and out so fast you can get burned if you don't have the stomach for it. Did I mention that I don't like "traders"?

Plain and simple....market saturation of an ever accumulating element. Also Gold is becoming more and more obsolete in practicality in todays modern world. It just aint what it used to be. Bottom line. Also Too many geese laying the golden eggs, so to speak. There's just too many companies in the business and will always be more in the future. Think about it...It's never thrown out ! Always recycled. Like I said, market saturation on and ever accumulated element. At an exponential rate to boot !

All of the the precious metal stocks should do good for the near future... there will continue to be shortages of these metals as the world develops in third world contries and the Pacific Rim. I like Gold Corp for several reasons. Lots of reserves, cheap per once cost to produce, not hedged, and looking to grow their stake in the sector.

I am confident this will return to at least its previous $35 position by the end of 2007.

With the United States devaluing the dollar and Bernanke still pushing liquidity through the system as well as the possibility of higher inflation.

Gold becomes a great holder of value, and as gold becomes more expensive. GG has additional capacity to bring online.

Goldcorp (GG) is a low cost gold producer. It has entered an agreement with Kinross Gold Corporation to acquire Kinross' 49% share of the Porcupine gold mines in northeastern Ontario and its 32% share of the Musselwhite gold mine in northwestern Ontario. In exchange, Kinross will receive Goldcorp's 50% stake in the La Coipa silver-gold mine in Chile and $200 million in cash. This demonstrates GG's continuing commitment to simplify its asset portfolio and to focus efforts within its core operating districts. In Porcupine and Musselwhite, GG has two solid operations with very long mine lives, outstanding growth potential and first-rate operating teams. The possibility of a 2008 U.S. recession, and continuing U.S. credit "problems," should propel gold prices to new highs. Since my original purchase in September 2004, GG's stock has soared 155.2%!!!
