I bought Gilat 1.5 years ago for $6.20/share. After turning profitable in early 2006, the stock appears to have stabilized around $9/share. Its primary debt investor just converted its debt to stock in the company, a strong vote of confidence in future profitability and stock price growth. I have heard this stock bashed more often on chat boards than I can even recall, but a little patience goes a long way. The Israelis have a world focus, are very bright and adaptable to changing market realities. Sales of enterprise systems and telephony VSATs for developing economies all over the world will keep growing and growing.
