I think GLD is over valued because of crash concerns and once the S&P gets back to steady growth GLD will drop as their concerns begin to look foolish (in a bad way).

Gold will continue to rise. But this a bet against the US economy and the overall emotion around Gold is fear. not my style. B&H's might want to consider silver? Silver is used in electronics and solar panels. Sounds like the better bet to me.

Paper Money has not intrinsic value. If inflation strikes you have protection, if deflation strikes and banks fail, you have protection.

Gold's recent rise has been driven by fear of the dollar falling drastically in value. That fear has become commonplace. When an event becomes widely anticipated, I believe many small preventative measures accumulate and the feared event becomes a non-event. The Y2K non-event is a classic example.

government printing presses are out of control. Inflation will be bad over the next few years. Wait until oil goes back up over $100 and you will see gold prices approaching $1500 in the near term.

The US Debt has grown 10 fold. The Government's is printing money, as if it were wallpaper.

I hear a lot of noice about Gold being a bubble. The bubble I see is the US Debt Market.

Gold Reserves do not amount to much. When countries like India, Russia & China start buying Gold with our paper, it is time for us all to take notice.

There isn't enough Gold to replace the bad currency, held by our debtors.

I see Gold reaching $10,000 within 5 years.

I've made GLD, my #1 Pick.

As long as the Fed keeps the printing press rolling gold should do well. If and when the Fed tighens, I think we will see gold taper off.

the price of gold seems higher then what would account for the demand and the dropping dollar. The percentage increase is also inconsistent with other commodities like silver.
