David Gardener pick. Purchased with real money. 100 shares at $14.78 and another at $11.68. Waiting on earnings report, will consider adding more.
Recs
Will be buoyed by increasing smartphone demands.
Recs
$20 mark in 2012
Recs
Low P/E ration relative to peers, improving economy, increasing demand for display technologies such as gorilla glass, diversified business segments, product innovation
Recs
bought for my wife's fund at 13.64 today
I like what I see from a value perspective and the Stock Advisor likes it too!

High yield strategy: TMFHighYield says to look for "high dividend payers from the S&P 500 from diverse sectors, relatively low debt, and a history of increasing dividend payments." This is my technology pick.

Based on what the company is working on and the market demand for flat screen glass, the future is bright!
Recs
Yes, glass is a commodity, but as we go into the future, there will only be more flat panels, more fiber optics, more diesel particle filters, and Corning has long been the leader in all of these technologies.
And right now, the shares are pretty cheap. Not bottom of the market collapse cheap, but cheap enough for me.
Recs
This is a great stock with a bright future. Just look at any screen!

I think there has been a bit of an overreaction in the stock price here. I look for a 20% or so bump from today's prices by the end of the year. I wish there was a larger dividend but with the stock buyback in place that tells me all I need to know. Oh and in case you did not know there is a product they make called "gorilla glass"... and it does not throw poo.
Recs
They make the glass that is powering the tablet revolution
Recs
Good business with long history. Management focused on long term success. 2%+ dividend helps. Product mix will be relevant for a long time.
Recs
Grossly undervalued
Recs
Low p/e but still growing
Recs
EV/FCF is around 8 currently. The global demand for glass will continue to increase as touch screens join LCD as applications for their product. In addition new applications including solar panels will continue to gobble up supply. Management increased the dividend by 50% this week and authorized a share buyback of $1.5B at very cheap prices for the stock. Long term outperform.
Recs
Technology is accelerating
Recs
Higher dividend, share buyback, and near a 52 week bottom.
Recs
They have an obviously good product that still has room for growth (Gorilla Glass), especially when we all talk about the potential growth the iphone, ipad, and other Apple products have in emerging markets. I think the tablet phase will soon be disapearing, but touch screen laptops, tvs, and other appliances and electronic devices will occur, Gorilla glass will be needed.
Recs
It has bags of potential and is currently undervalued.
Recs
Manufacturer of LCD & Solar Glass and Gorilla Glass for smartphones, all with growing demand. 830 to 20 All-Star Outperform ratio. Bottom of 52 week range. Good add to my green tech sector.
