Cannibalization is my only long term worry for this retailer that should do well in the short run as a result of the stimulus disbursement and the consumer's penchant for cheap escape.

I have more than doubled my money in this stock already. If you like the video gaming theme, this is a must own stock. This specialty retailer has nearly 4500 stores, under GameStop and EB Games and a 2 million strong magazine, GameInformer, which is fat with advertising. If you think business is going away because of video game downloading, then I urge you to visit a GameStop on a saturday and see how crowded these places get. People still like to trade in old games and buy new ones, browse, etc.

I believe this will go through the roof with a never ending supply of video games available and competitive pricing and the fact that they take trade-ins will boost their demand in the community.

Holidays and some good games are coming. The economy will slow people down on shopping but it a little hard to slow down the game's addictors.

While GameStop's performance of late hasn't been overly impressive, it merely presents investors with a buying opportunity of a solid company. The video game and hardware industry in the U.S. is on pace to surpass $22 billion this year, which would be a record. This provides an indication that GME is relatively recession-proof. The video game companies continue to pump out "must have" games that people keep clamoring buying. GameStop also provides a market for buying and selling used games and equpment, something you aren't going to find at most of its competitors. The only thing that is holding this stock back is market expectations. The company has been enjoying such solid success that it is becoming a victim of these successes. If it should start failing to live up to these expectations, it will not bode well for the stock price. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

THE superstore for the "next generation". In this Post-lead season this should be the pick for all those "electronic game" presents. I suspect this season will be a major quarter in their history.

A great lineup of games in the coming summer will generate mass income and sales for the number one distributor of video games. Games like GTA4 and Brawl will propel sales and earnings to all time highs.
