Railroad growth will require new rail equipment in upcoming years. As reported in industry magazines within the last two years, box-cars are decaying - the industry seems to swell and contract so a slew of new box-cars will be needed.

GATX sports a low P/E (6-8 range) but it has a LOT of debt (2.04 debt/equity ratio). The cost of its debt will escalate into the future.

In the long run, GATX needs to divest itself of some of its assets in order to work down its debt… More

Rental/Leasing - timing is right - ggod stats - would like to see a better intrinsic value to price ratio but is isn't too bad as it is.
