It seems that the company is substituting debt with issuance of new stocks, which is never a good sign for the stockholder. While not exactly a looser this company is not winner either.

Stock was hit hard in the 3rd quarter '09. I still think the long term opportunities for this company justify a buy from here.

Wow, This was rated 'A' by Schwab and 99 by IBD. So, Schwab's value and IBD's growth metrics for GOK were both A+ BEFORE it went down 25% today. What's up with that? Got to, got to, GOT TO give it a big green thumb!

Company Is like Dawson with an international passport. Still gotta love Dawson. Check out TMFDoodle's take on DWSN.....he knows what he's talking about. I'm just a dumb Okie, but his breakdown of these stocks is spot on. I'd be interested in his views of the explorers. The B*stards will be making much $$ over the next decade, but I don't know how the stocks will hold up. He's spot on when he dubbed the seismic crews as gypsies. They be good people though, and their services will be in demand over the next few years. They work their arses off, and they don't go on hiatus just b/c oil falls $15 to the $80's. You gotta understand, the seismic guys were canvassing Tx and Okla way back in 2004, long before oil and gas mania set in in 2007-2008.

It might take a while for GOK to really perform as well as they could. Sales growth is good and the international focus will definitely help them with a diverse portfolio of customers. BV is very close to the share price and insider buying has been great for the past 10 months or so. I expect the share price to significantly improve over the next 4 – 6 quarters.

Global provider of seismic data acquisition. I like the fact that they are international and able to go into 'transitional' zones. Have a great backlog and the wind at their backs. Though a small company they are one of the largest in this industry that should be strong as long as oil remains above $40/barrel (yeah, I don't see that as a problem either). Opened a position in the mid-20s and am averaging down. Gee-O I am excited to own a company like this. This is a great entry point!

This is a seismic company newly listed on the AMEX with specialized equipment and crews working in an industry that is becoming harder and harder to enter due to technical advances.
