2 billion people need to eat something. Food prices will continue to go up, and this stock should too.

They have 176.61M in cash with only 2.61M debt with a market cap of 120m. They are in the agriculture field of a large emerging market that is in constant of food. Speculative pick.

I'm betting that agriculture will rebound in the next 1 to 2 years, especially in China, where I suspect that the standard of living for the growing middle class will rise.

China has a lot of people. Those people need food. Agria makes food. What can possibly go wrong?

Essentially no debt, high quick/current ratio's. Same reasoning behind picking FEED (major competitor), as China becomes more prosperous, its people will eat more meat. This guy has been beaten down by investor fear, I don't think it'll be anywhere near $2 in 3 years.

GRO is a speculative play on Chinese agriculture. While there is a high degree of uncertainty surrounding their current financial position, circumstantial evidence suggests that The Company is a bargain at current prices. According their latest balance sheet at the end of 2007, the company had liquidation value of more than $3.20. Under a new management team including two former PricewaterhouseCoopers employees, the company has had a class action lawsuit dismissed, entered into a strategic co-operation framework agreement with the China National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and acquired stakes in two other agricultural companies. Considering the historical profitability of Agria, the fact that the company has sustained business operations, and the massive growth of The Chinese agricultural sector, there is a likely possibility of this stock taking off like a rocket.

Farm products. Calculators will not be able to keep up with Agriculture growth in china. Nothing the chinese love more than to eat,and here we have a few of their favorites, home grown lamb, corn by way of seeds and also popular date seedlings, all is good but the one that excites me here and most expensive is the popularity of the company's lamb that is eaten for traditional purposes and being a coon-ass rebel with a cause,I can understand traditional food that never goes away and must come from a certain place. In this case it's that special lamb this company offers and profits will soar for this so called motley fool speculative play at best. Love all, only like to be truthful.Watch and see!
