GrafTech International Ltd. (GTI)

I've watched this stock for more than three years and have found it to perform well on a consistent basis with dips around the Feb to March time frame. The technology that they work with regarding fuel cells and their majority control in it makes for an interesting corporation in the times of high gas prices and green thinking.

GOOD in short and long term

Overvalued and frankly not very good, but will increase with the gold bubble. Be careful in December and January (and even now).

This hits close to home, they bring business to Arcelor Mittal Steel which was previously called Bethlehem Steel. It's a local company in Baltimore Maryland. It keeps the residents here happy with jobs and a source of income.

Long term growth in carbon fiber materials, good PEG.

Bought Calls.

Strong sales in Europe. Big forecast ahead in 2008. Profits are good for shareholders. Recently upgraded stock. I'd say go for it!

Testing out a portfolio of smallish-cap 5-star stocks found using the CAPS screener. All picks have at least 50 allstars backing them, which should be enough to minimize star rating fluctuations. It's been less than a week, but so far so good!

GTI is in the steel alloy group... this group has been in the top 10 performing industries (out of 192) in 7 of the last 52 weeks... we are entering into a new quarter and I think we will rotate into new leadership

I'm sure there are plenty of good company stories out there. Those of you who can't find a good stock to buy these days probably aren't looking hard enough. Here's one that looks good. But it's in a commodity-type industry, so nobody really cares. So I am taking some down here.
