Great market and strong dividend. The EPS for this stock is solid and some growth ahead.

Grainger's sales have been awesome YTD even though most industrial sectors have seen otherwise. Fastenal can't provide the value-added services that Grainger provides. The only real threat for Grainger in most markets is MSCdirect and McMaster-Carr; however, Grainger is holding their own.

Sales for June and July should be outstanding due to recent flooding in the Midwest.

Once the stock hits $98, bail and move on.

This company supplies repair and maintenance parts to industrial and commerical facilities. I work for a privately held competitor. This sector is very good at weathering recession. You always have to fix the elevators, regardless of where the stock market is.

The big Grainger machine keeps expanding both globally (China & Mexico) as well as domestically by adding locations and upgrading existing ones. Broad product offering to a broad range of customers such as contractors, local governments and other businesses.

Strong dividend grower to boot, may take a while to get back to the $100 range but should get there sooner than later.

Solid company with conservative management. Growth in Asia will help stabalize any weakness in the US economy.

Grainger has two problems right now... they are technically in the retail sector (a highly specialized retailer, I admit) and the whole recession theme is increasingly getting a lot of extra news coverage – which typically hurts retailers. And secondly, they just got caught "possibly" cheating the Government, which - odds are high - will give them some kind of grief during the next year more than likely.

Grainger's catalog is a staple in every University research department around the country. If you need an odd "bit" or doo-hickey, the first place your tech boys/gals look is likely to be Graingers.

Doesn't look there's anyone out there to challenge them yet.
