With a forward P/E of only 8 it seems that the market continues to discount this projected growth. One of the first companies that should come to mind whenever investors look to benefit from higher oil prices has to be Halliburton. From an earnings standpoint, it has steadily demonstrated an ability to beat expectations and deliver on its bottom line.

Great company with incredible value and prospects for future growth. Good deal with such a low P/E.

123. Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) looks to be undervalued. This is a company that is poised for a jump in the future. All indicators point to the oil market continuing to stay strong. Although there is a strong political push for alternative energy sources, these are years away from becoming a part of everyday life. Not only is Haliburton strong in the oil industry, I really like that they have `two hands` deeply embedded in natural gas as well. You may not see short term gains but it will pay off in the long run. With the price just over $30, this is one that should be jumped on now to see the long term payoffs. Target: $35-$45.

I'm long oil and natural gas for the long run. I like many companies from drillers to producers and pipelines. My hotlist includes HAL, RIG, CHK, SU, CVE, PBR and CEO. However, I am pessimistic about the short-term prospects of North American oil and gas. The fundamentals are great but politics are very bad. Obama and environmentalists are likely to knock Hal and its buddies down hard for some time. The US political environment is definitely anti-fossil fuel (for now). The latest assertion that fracking is polluting the ground water has just reared its ugly head and will play out politically, if not scientifically. Probably going to be some fabulous opportunities to buy in the next few months if you can hold indefinitely.

Correct direction this time.

Probably the most undervalued oil services stock. Oil demand will only increase as China and India grow their economies. Of the oil services stocks, Oil services demand is increasing in the U.S. in the Bakken, Marcellus, and Uttica shale plays. HAL is best positioned to take advantage of increased oil demand and the oil boom in the U.S. shale plays.

Oil is still in demand - recession or not.

Things are improving, more drilling means more business for them.

Together with RES the best stocks to invest in Oil.

ThisI stock has been beaten down by the bad publicity and legal risks associated with the BP oil spill, but is a very strong long term player in the industry. It should also benefit from long-term rising oil and gas prices, as more drilling activity will take place. All these companies will need support from companies like Halliburton. Overall, a good buy in price at around $35.00
