Like with Lowe's, Home Depot will not do notably better until the housing market turns around. Like someone else said to my comment about Lowe's, when the housing market pick back up people will buy up properties and those in bad shape will have to… More

With new construction is severely lagging, one would think fixing up existing houses and upgrades (rather than buying up) would push HD shares higher. Fact is, most people are hunkered down trying to stash money away in case things get worse--a likely outcome. This will keep most retailers' business at a reduced level for, perhaps, years to come.
