Sell when it reaches $2.25.

I added this one on Nov 15, but it shows 'ended.' Not sure what I did wrong, but should still be an active pick for me.

himax has done me right for two straight years so hopefully I can get some of this money back in year 4 that I lost in year 3. is only a paper loss and my account is getting big enough that I do not have to sell out of this position to still make other monies. there is inside ownership of 50% so hopefully that huge dividend will not be cut and they will be able to keep going. This is around the time of year this stock usually starts to rise. I am getting out of the penny stocks for the most part so this stock will be off my radar for a long time after I do decide to sell. UVE is the only penny stock that I am keeping tabs on and at this time the only ps I would invest in.

The dividend will buy this stock in 7 years if you reinvest, plus this is a well positioned tech company.

Patent and position in the growing 3d glasses free market has HiMax as either a growth company or as a take-over target. Keep it on the radar.

New tech plus 9.8% Div.Sales will increase.Good entry point

Next quarter they should be back to growing after clearing their inventory. 3D technology will drive further growth. Given the stock is near it's low it's ripe to bounce back. If the bounce is slow, the dividend is worth the wait.

Great dividends, BUT.... Slow large screen sales. Initial cycle is done and pickup will be slow with present economy. Sales, profits, margins are drifting down.

Demand for there products will do nothing but increase.

No debt, solid assets, and a key piece of the LCD flat panel display market.
Recs
This company is flush with cash and zero debt. They are working on a 3D Television that doesn't require the wear of 3D glasses. Excellent possibilities with this company and I look forward to riding the wave higher in the next few years.

I'd like to reccommend this stock for longer than 5 years but I'm not sure of the longevity and the profitablity of the LCD industry. I do however like this company strictly as a dividend play so long as people are still buying technology that relies upon LCD displays. Himax Technologies has a current declared dividend of 0.30 for a yield of roughly 10%. Sounds like easy money to me so long as the technology stays in favor!

Wish I'd seen this earlier! Company provides an annual dividend in June/July. Insiders bought more shares in late 2009. I'm buying in my real account - a profitable company that grew in 2008 and managed to have positive EPS in 2009. Great balance sheet (no LT debt).
Recs
This stock is battered by a slump in demand, but the company is well positioned to take advantage when demand for LCD displays increases (and it almost certainly will).

This met a high level screen to indicate a buy and strong outperform against its peers (other tickers in its industry). My 1st version of this spreadsheet devles deep into the company's balnace sheet and recent income statements, combined with other relevant price data for the company including insider/institutional holdings, short interest, debt levels, etc.
