There is no surprise here. With oil prices the way they are and will continue to become in the foreseeable future, these gap companies are raking it in with low overhead. The giants want to gobble them up, but are afraid to invest a good chunk of change in case there is a slow-down in the oil industry. Meanwhile companies like Petrohawk have more work than they can handle.

Gas & Oil Stock......in the U.S. How can you go wrong? Plus they have a lot of good Management after their Merger with KCS Energy.
A lot of years of experience comes with Corporate Officer Floyd C. Wilson. I have a lot of exposure & experience with these 2 Companies that Merged under the Petrohawk name. So far I would say it's a good Stock, and good for a long Hold, unless you want to pick up some quick bucks during one of its peaks. Me, I'm holding on.
Be interesting to see how much a Share is 5 years from now.

This companies stated objective it to be a take-over candidate. The CEO recently purchased a large block of their stock. The motivation of self enrichment by the management team should yield decent returns for investors.

Prices go up quick, and go down slow. This lopsided YO-YO effect is lucrative for companies in this sector. I only expect higher values for this company in the intermediate future only.

Can always play short term, late summer to mid-winter, but a goo hold. Excellent reserves, good managment, a chart that you can understand. Pretty low risk sector, big upside is a buyout, and worth that wait.

Petrohawk is much more a 'pure' Haynesville shale play than the other larger independents and with their hedged Natural Gas position for 2009 at nearly $8.00 and rig rates starting to fall, they look good in the next year. Their position in the South Texas Eagleford Shale play is certainly a novel one.

With the steady increase in the price of a barrell of oil. You can't go wrong here especially if there is a buyout. My money is definitely going into Oil and any Company that handles the refinig process and on.

Will blow up if rumors to be acquired by giants occur. Interest in natural gas, which I perceive to be the mid-future of US energy, is a plus.
