Hennes & Mauritz (NASDAQOTH:HNNMY)

The unfamiliar company of Hennes & Mauritz is actually the very well known clothing chain H&M which is headquartered in Sweden. They are the worlds 3rd largest retailer with 1,988 stores in 35 countries. The company philosophy is “to bring you fashion and quality at the best price”. Their biggest markets are Germany, U.K. and Sweden. There is plenty of opportunity for them to expand into other markets, and future plans include an entry into fast growing Brazil. Their corporate objective is to increase the number of stores by 10%-15% per year. Last year they opened exactly 250 stores which was approximately a 15% increase. They were able to expand at this rate despite the worst world recession in nearly 80 years.
