Energy efficiency is a key megatrend in these times. Honeywell products can save people and companies money on their energy bills.

I see near-term huge growth potential in at least one division of this company and that's the Garrett Turbocharger portion. In spite of the recent "surge" in EV's and Hybrids, the internal combustion engine is here to stay with us for many more years. The most effecient way to increase the power of an internal-combustion engine is to use a turbocharger. Garrett (by Honeywell) turbochargers have been the turbos of choice for automotive applications for years. There is a very noticable trend in the automotive industry to scale down engine size/number of cyclinders in the interests of far better fuel economy and then to use a turbo (or two!) to make up for the power losses (Chevy Cruze Eco, the Ford "Ecotec" line of engines, etc .....). New CAFE standards of 54.5 mpg in the next 14 years is going to create a huge demand for turbochargers, in my opinion.

David Black likes it because it is a dividend paying stock and will do well long term as it rides the "secular aerospace bull."

Honeywell has continued to invest in advanced technologies and has become more competitive from a cost basis with implementing limits on expenditures over the last two years. The company has positioned itself to be advantageous in comparison to industry peers. I see this stock gaining well over 10% in the next year.
