Honeywell is poised to take off , despite the economy and the soft airline industry , earnings are good , management has cut costs and profits are stable. Innovation is the key to this company's success .

strong diversification

Honeywell recently turned a profit after a few awful quarters. The last five years have turned constant profit increases without a hitch. They are diversified and have a 3% yield. NOW is the time to put some money in, as I expect their profits will rise.

Recovery stock

Honeywell is always in a good position for growth and profits but currently suffers from the economic downturn. This will increase with the future outlook as its a strong company and investors will proceed to buy into them. They have a decent dividend too.

HON has too many products that are luxury items such as corporate jet engines and home security systems. This economy does not support this company.

Honeywell is a solid company and even with the down economy, is making big sales. Once business spending trends up, Honeywell will benefit even further. They pay a solid dividend, which is great for those income investors, but also look for the share price to give you another 5-10% appreciation year over year. Honeywell is no fly by night, and should not be traded as such, I'd say buy and hold for 2-4 years, look for a 25-30% growth, take your dividend payments and sleep easy at night knowing your money is about as safe as can be in an equity.

A heavy hitter in the technology field from control systems to security. When Boeing's dreamliner gets into production HON will benefit dramatically. Well run, a proven player, even though the stock doesn't reflect it yet.

Once economy is on solid footing, the auto makers that are left must develop more fuel-efficient engines. Honeywell will play a part in this and profit.

Very undervalued stock that produces excellent products in the aerospace, electronic controls, transportation, and materials markets. Company is superior to similar companies, such as General Electric, which is unexplicably overvalued and liked by so many . Solid reputation with Boeing, Northrup Grumann, and other defense contractors, earnings billions in long range defense, intelligence, space, and comercial airline contracts.

Dividend play.

Despite ... tough competition, Honeywell has a long history of growth, strong returns on equity, and rewarding its shareholders through dividends and stock repurchases. But investors don't seem to have much confidence in the industrial giant these days. Honeywell's stock has dropped nearly 50% since this time last year, and its trailing price-to-earnings ratio has been pushed down to less than 10, while its dividend yield has been bumped up to 3.8%.

Honeywell is a diversified technology company with leadership in several areas. I like this company because of its valuation such as P/E, P/S, Return on Equity/Assets. Additionally it has a very small debt and has a decent dividend.

They have a good CEO. Their margins are good in spite of a bad economy. They make products that are beneficial to people, like body armor for military and police. Small remote control helicopters for the military which they can use to gather information and not put personnel at as much risk. Navigation systems at sea. Security systems. Turbochargers (or maybe it was turboboosters) for auto engines to help save on gas. Their dividend is good and looks very safe to me. Their free cash flow gives them 3 times what they need to cover the dividend. That's important to me. In the past year I've been burned by three companies that decided to whack their dividends.
