Downthumb. Low growth rate. Slipping margins.

With Vista about to ship to consumers, this stock should continue climbing. H-P will continue to take market share in 2007 while still cutting costs, which should drive earnings and the stock higher.

HP is HP. The past 5 years, it has quadrupled the S&P 500
+203.34% to +50.68%.

Ever since I bought Hewlett Packard (HPQ), it has consistantly performed better than any other stock. HPQ is made even better because it pays dividends every time.

It is better than DELL and have been cutting costs for a couple years now. Has been outperforming and should continue.

I own HP products and they work well and keep on working. Customer satisfaction, word of mouth should continue to build it's market share.

Printer business is unbelievable. Taking share from Dell. Wire tapping and pretexting thing will pass.

HP is well positioned for the future, because of the current management (Mark Hurd) and its global position as an IT leader. If the US economy remains soft, HP still has a major portion of its sales from international markets which can help it perform.

Taking a big chunk of the Desktop sales on the low end, enogh for us to spend $120,000 instead of $175,000 though Dell. HP Servers still are rated the best as many IT departments are shying away from Blades and Dell in the Datacenter. I am seen these desktops replace much of the market share that Dell has.

Conservative picks in case the market stays down.

Debt level scares me a bit, but HP has been looking strong.

Robust 3 yr EPS growth rates are finally justifying the stock price that has been rising since the aftermath of the merger. It is undervalued at its current PE.

It's all about the 50-dollar mark. HPQ has been tirelessly trading near that resistance for a long time now and you have to wonder when it will break out.
I wouldn't buy just yet, but HP has great international exposure and a strong brand so it's definitely one worth keeping an eye on as it lurks around 50 dollars.

Networked tech gear that is wirelessly connected together. I have everything connected via my wireless router, but the only thing I lacked was a printer that did everthing, and could print from whichever computer we had in the house, whereever it was. I wanted to be upstairs, downstairs, outside, in the garage, and be able to print wirelessly. I had an old printer (HP) that just could not do the job. I checked out Epson, Lexmark, and HP. HP turned out to suit my needs just right and at the right price.
My thinking is that everyone is going to be making a similar decision as me in the near future and upgrading their computers (HP of course) and printers to be all connected. Will Dell catch up? How about Lexmark? Sure they will try make inroads, but I think HP will keep their edge going forward.
