Of all the regional banks in which the average investor can buy shares and be certain s/he is making a sound investment Horizon Financial Corp (HRZB) is tops. Not only do they keep overhead costs low, but also they make them so low that they end up not being able to offer a multitude of different services to their customers. Do not let the HRZB vs. S&P500 trend chart since Nov-05 and asking price fool you, for, as with the rest of the Financials, HRZB has been unfairly associated with the worst and/or just plain greedy companies that have left their investors and customers high and dry. They are as solid as a Small Cap comes, and you will surely be kicking yourself for not believing in them now.

Wow, bank stocks are tough right now. However, Horizon is a great company with a great track record. It has been weighed down with the rest of the financial sector and that is about it. Anywhere under 15 is a good buy. Headquarters are located where I live. I have done alot of research and know several people that work for them. A good pick of you are looking for a solid bank stock.

In anticipation of the eventual rebound of the financial sector. A little early for bottom feeding, but I am just indiscriminately putting all stocks that are tagged S&L.
