i did a little research on this company and it appears to be one of the few banks that is hurting only because people are scared to buy bank stock of any kind these days. with books that look relatively solid and high level employees buying stock… More

I added this one to keep an eye on it. Not as cheap as a lot of the mutual holding company conversions that I am interested in, but its still not bad value for a bank centered in the midwest. Looking at the PE ex items, its below 10x. They've shown decent deposit growth of 7% and 16% in 2010 and 2009 respectively. And nonperforming assets are ok at 2.9%. Not a bad bank and worth watching for a dip.

well run regional bank...has strong presence in midwest...will also benefit from rise in commodity prices as major portion of loan portfolio is dedicated to farmers.

i did a little research on this company and it appears to be one of the few banks that is hurting only because people are scared to buy bank stock of any kind these days. with books that look relatively solid and high level employees buying stock rather than selling, this looks like a solid bet for a stock that will recover well and earn those who invest while the market is down a hefty return.
