Okay, volume on this stock is nil. It has been bouncing around the same numbers since the beginning of the year. There is no real indicator of any upward movement on this stock until more states push for more and larger windmill farms. Aerospace and defense won't carry this stock for long.

By my calculation the company would need continued growth on level with what they had over the last five years to justify the current stock price.

Manufactures and distributes lightweight composite materials used in aerospace, defense, wind-turbines. Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 rampup in production should see 10-15% increase in aerospace revenue for 2008. Alternative energy continues to increase as oil supplies decrease. Increased manufcture of wind turbines will lead the way for more industrial expansion in centrifuges and additional technologies which can benefit from lighter weight. The space and defense industry isn't going away any time soon so outlook is good through 2010.

There are untapped markets for reduced weight and energy efficiency and Hexel will benefit.

I'm KICKING myself for letting this one go too long, but I love HXL enough to tough out some likely selling off after a really strong run. I'll take the hit cause this outfit is positioned to cash in on the fuel efficiency and metals price spikes. This co. will do well as the world comes to love lightweight composites, and design guys get their heads around how to use it to solve problems. I think it is only a matter of time; there is no reason why planes, cars and a bunch of things that will benefit from being lighter, make the rational transition.

The A380 is a delay, yes, but definitely, the plane is going to see the light of day. This is the best time to invest as the upside is there, just waiting for the market to catch up.
