Intra-operative breast radiation will be the new standard of care, and will fuel earnings growth for ICAD. It also will likely find uses in treatment for other cancers. The ~1M in revenue they posted in that area in the first quarter of 2011 could increase 100 fold. It's easy to bet on the company that can provide a better service at a lower cost.

ICAD is at the forefront of technology in computer aided detection for cancer and other pathology driven fields. This is a small company with a vast amount of intellectual property (22 patents pending or already registered) that is ripe for the picking in an aquisition strategy from the likes of the big 3 in the medical imaging community as a bolt-on product to enhance the value of their imaging platofrms. Each of these companies are diving into unprecendented image generation technologies in MRI, CT, and other imaging modalities as evidenced at RSNA this year. Also Hologic has announced their 3D mammography technology and appears to be in acquisition mode. With 3D projection technology not far off as well in operating rooms and surgical suites it is only a matter of time before ICAD is churning out some mind blowing products for neurosurgery and cardiac navigation.

This year is a very good time to be a company like ICAD. Especially, when considering the improvements in gross margin over the last quarter. If this company gets a sales channel through a large OEM, the sky is the limit for profitability with ICAD.

Expect this company to grow based on its impact on reducing medical costs as it will reduce the time required to interpret data collected by CT scanners.

Cancer screenings are becoming more the norm across the board and these guys may be offering some of the best technology to address the need.

Obama's socialist plans for the future of American medicine should also allow companies like this to thrive by allowing them to charge patients exuberant amounts of money because spreading the wealth apparently pays the bills.

Affordable, cutting-edge technology that is in high demand should make this a winner.

As a cancer survivor, any comany that is trying to pinpoint cancer earlier and identify pathologies gets a KUDOS or two from me. We are starting to spend more money on cancer research and treatment and if someone can make a break through then great. If not, we eliminated one wrong step and made another leap.

Promising technology - covered by insurance. makes money.

The company brings a new technology to cancer detection. It assists doctors in finding very hard to detect initial cancer cell growth. I would insist on this technology if I needed verification of X-RAys, Cat Scan, etc

The Company designs, develops, manufactures and markets Computer-Aided Detection solutions that enable healthcare professionals to serve patients by identifying pathologies and pinpointing cancer earlier.

Even if it goes down in the short term, it has great long-term potential.

Even though this company has great possibilities financial records of the company indicate that it is going to be awhile...........

with no cash reserves,a dwindling net assets and othe financials, this dosen't look like a smart play to me. the company is still young and seems to be doing some things right,but has a long way to go before it would be a player. i see it under performing in the near term.
