They continue to attract and hire some of the best experts in the industry....especially in Emergency Management.

Not as cheap as it was when I bought it, but I still think this stock is going to outpeform over the next 2 to 4 years. The industry it works in is a clear growth industry (the need for their type of consulting is burgeoning). At the same time, the valuation figures suggest the stock is cheap even disregarding potential growth. Don't be put off by the fact the stock has already rocketed upwards. Environmental/energy etc. consulting is the place to be. ICFI has a strong management team implementing its growth and building its brand.

This company is hiring great people, expanding internationally and is involved in some of the greater issues of our time. They have strong capability in disaster recovery support, global warming / CO2 emissions policy & strategy, health services under high profile government contracts.
These are issues that won't go away - and their capabilities will be in ever increasing demand globally.

Anyone in the business world knows what a gold mine consulting is for the consulting company...not the company being ripped off, *uh I mean*, "consulted". These guys keep winning big contracts and they appear to be focused in some good consulting fields that governments (the most unfocused and unorganized business of them all) need and will pay for.

A growth Proposition

will continue to go down but i have a $30 price target. I think they'll hit the numbers this year which implies around a $30 stock if they do.

The American government, as exemplified by the vast majority of Americans, is often faced with questions and problems that it must deal with. Both parties' immediate response is often some form of "Can't someone else do this for me?" ICF International is the answer to that question. And they are going to make an awful lot of money doing so.
I love this stock short-term, long-term, anyterm. Their growth is very solid, and they would have to be involved in a major, major unforeseen scandal or seriously diminish the quality of their people in order to damage the company's long-term bottom line, in my opinion. And with consulting experience a popular form of resume building for future high flying execs, I feel ICF will follow in the success of Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte & Touche with the caliber of its consultants. Despite a 45 % increase in stock price since I picked them (because they were so undervalued), I still think ICF is a strong buy.
