Strong branding, good profit margin than peers and expanding into China market
Hardly any presence in North America.
Through its' ZARA Brand, Maximo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Inditex will take the U.S. fashion market by storm. No other retailer have the combination of exceptional style and value. Growth in Europe and worldwide is stellar. Stock is virtually unknown to U.S. investors and trades minimal volume. Odd for a company with a market cap of $88.9 Billion. (Yahoo Finance) In the first six months of 2012, Inditex's sales grew by 16%, EBITDA rose 28%, and it set an all-time high gross margin at close to 60%, bypassing the global economic crisis. With growth like that and trading at 30x trailing the stock reasonably priced.
Even though Inditex, the holding company for the popular Zara stores, is in the geographical center of the 2912 European fiancial crisis being headquartered in Arteixo, Spain, the company continues to turn a profit and improve annual earnings from its worldwide operations. Although it is quite large it has yet to penetrate much of our North American market and new Zara stores are eagerly awaited by fashion savvy young Americans.Zara introduced a web presence about a year ago and it was met with wild enthusiasm by fashionistas and the company looks forward to more success stateside. The shares are not widely followed in the States and are traded on the Pink Sheets. I look forward to much success for the company as it continues to grow in the next decade. The following is more about 'Inditex' from Bloomberg:Industria de Diseno Textil, S.A. engages in the retail distribution of clothing, footwear, accessories, and household textile products through various commercial format stores.
