Will fall along with China
Track Jim Jubak
IF seems to be the only game in town for those who want simple, reasonably diversified exposure to Indonesia. If the elections in July 2009 are peaceful, appear legitimate, and result in the re-election of SBY, I expect IF to trade at much higher prices than at present.
A familiar theme is sounding for many of my picks. I love the prospects for growth in emerging markets. This pick is riskier than the China and India picks, which I regard as ridiculously compelling. Indonesia has potential and expect to see some great things in the next 5-10 years in that country, hence I expect some real movement in the equities market in the next few years.
Indonesia is a good emerging market to be in.
Look at the chart trend -- up, up and up.
Doesnt reflect rise of Indo market but not much choice available, reasonable expense ratio, very rich, unexplored mineral wealth, very low manuf costs.
