Ya.... That would be nice.... but I don't think so. They are not going to go out of business anytime soon, but 100million/year in profit when they have never broken even after interest and taxes? Wouldn't you rather invest some small tech star with these numbers?

demand for commercial and office fabric products will lag. The company commitment to zero waste and the continued management dedication to employee retention will benefit long term investment.

Great product; has been 'green' for a number of years in a market that is notoriously 'bad' for the environment. Beautiful carpet at a price that is actually on the lower end compared to other green products.
Stock has been battered. I bought a few months ago near $2 in anticipation of returning to $10 price in a year or two. Did not anticipate a rise to over $6 in a few months.

The company has completely purged the acquisition excesses of the late 1990's and is now completely focused on its core business, carpet tile. It's the industry leader in every respect, and the profits drove $20 stock prices a couple of years ago. The market punished the shares unfairly because of the concern for total economic collapse and the idea that carpet is always a discretionary purchase. Now this issue is fading away...

I like picking stocks near 2 bucks.

Prospects may look a bit grim at the moment, but this is the type of company to thrive in adversity. A valuable buy at almost any price.

Interface has several long-term programs going that should bear fruit over the next several years. They've captured the value of a lot of the "low hanging fruit" on operational efficiency measures and now are moving on toward reducing their energy consumption and environmental footprints. In the short term these efforts tend to absorb cash, but I expect that over the next 10 years we'll see some strong payoffs.
Recs
Model for manufacturing by a sharp focus on efficiency (keeping the greenies and the CPAs happy).
Recs
Commerical construction and government spending remain strong. These are Interfaces' main mairkets. They are ahead of curve vs compettors in adopting recycling programs and other green initiatives - Given that resources are becoming more scarce, this may prove an edge in keeping costs down.
Lower Corporate spending will take a toll on volume in next year, but downsizing usually inolves spending on interiors too.

Interface is a really exciting company with a visionary leader. Rather than taking the "squeeze everything out of oil today" approach, they're looking toward a future where oil products will be rare or non-existent. FLOR is a fashionable, sustainable, quality product that will pave the way for the future of carpet. I've notice that Target has recently began stocking FLOR tiles, and I'm glad to see them represented in a brick and mortar store. A good buy as this price, which is discounted per the current economy. I believe it a sure thing that it'll bounce back to $20-$25 in the next year, then higher after.

green and cash/debt ratio is nice. Growing co.

First, Ray Anderson is a business leader in the sustainable business environment. He has provided a genuine vision for many other businesses to follow both in person and as seen at www.interfacesustainability.com. While recycling carpet may not sound too exciting, businesses like Interface will begin to lead the pack as the mental shift to going green really starts to take hold. Right now, going green appears to still be in the "cool to say, but how do I do it WHILE optimizing performance" phase. As oil prices rise due to increasing global demand, alternative carpet production techniques need to be used to offset the rise in the raw petroleum input costs for carpet. And Interface is already doing this by using recycled carpet as fuel for the process... furthermore, Interface practices many other sustainability techniques which help their bottom line and the environment.
Recs
Huge upside potential for five year growth. buyers market. Strong buy
Recs
Committed to zero emission production process for commercial fabrics
Recs
Interface Inc. makes carpeting. They made a very small profit and added to cash in 06. This industry is a plight with the American habit of waste and exploitation to nature and production of toxic environmentally distructive interior living environments. This company has stated in their mission statement to be 0% impact on the environment by 2020. They acknowledge that this is a vast project. I can pray that the intention is real.
