International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT)

I get bored, but I still dont own anything like an Xbox or game type system. I also stay out of the casinos! You wont get rich there

I still like it long term considering the growth.
Sucks if you placed your money in it after the crash, but could be an outperformer long term. I see other stocks in other sectors that *may* potentially fall in this catagory as well.

Clarification: May underperform the market one year/may blow away the market the next couple.

Thesis here is that casinos are making the change from ticket-in/ticket-out slot machines. IGT is a best-of breed company at the leading edge of a replacement cycle.

Still seems a little richly valued here, but after all, it's just CAPS.

Gaming equiptment and systems continue to evolve which means replacement of machines and systems.That pus international markets are expanding and need IGT products.

plz. you ever gamble? no you dont? not even a lotto ticket? lol of course you do every one dose, this pick is a real life pick, just thru 5k at it at a price of 17 a share. Im gamebling, but its like playing poker, some luck and some skill can go a long way!

Most sophisticated products with the best graphics. No one comes close to the technology embodied in IGT products.

this company is not innovative. Their business plan is to let others innovate, then they buy them. It is where great ideas/workers go to die. They are a behemoth dinosaur who cannot lead......that type of company model will go the way of G.M. eventually. And their Dividend is really sad.

This is the company that will supply the next generation of slot machines. The gaming industry was poised to migrate to a central-server machine architecture last summer, but the market meltdown prevented the capital expenditure. As the gamblers begin to come back to the casinos, the first casino with the next generation of slot machine will gain market share dominance - and reduce slot costs at the same time. IGT has the handle on the slot market.

IGT HAS LOST MARKET SHARE AND IS OVERPRICED

IGT HAS NO NEW THEMES JUST SAME OLD IN NEW BOX.

GAMES HAVE INHERANT HEAT PROBLEMS AND DO NOT

HAVE ANY STAYING POWER

IGT HAS NO REGARD FOR PAST CUSTOMERS PERIOD.

Wave of the future ladies and gents! Markets go up and down, but people keep doing two things in particular: drinking and gambling.

Because at this rate soon enough GDP=G and that's it and revenue needs to be raised some how, so we get the rich to play slots....only thing is the poor probably pay them more, which is a contributing reason to why they are poor so basically, the gov't looks like they redistribute wealth, build some casinos and all the welfare checks can get spent there. AWESOME!
