IMAX is a great stock. It has recently singed some nice deals and I think it is the future of the movie industry. Expect big things from this company.

IMAX and AMC deal. Other theaters will have to follow suit or get a new technology. IMAX is poised to fill the need.

Movies recording high box office and theater owners recording large crowds. IMAX has unique picture delivery to the screen and has piled up contracts to install IMAX systems in large group of theaters across the U. S.

I can only go by what I have read here on the Motley Fools website but I like the concept and agreed that it would be a good stock to own.

I pay the ticket price for the EXPERIENCE and IMAX will provide an even greater experience when at the theater with their new digital screens.

I believe they have a cornered this market. With the “Planet Earth” series and more to come. This should explode

Everyone loves the product. Traditional movies are done-for. HD big screen home theaters are in. The only reason to go out would be for the IMAX experience, domed screens, 3-D. HD IMAX is next; look out.

most of the negatives have already happened ... the industry is in transition and Imax is leading the way with technology, image, consummer interest etc. As more deals like AMC get on board interest in the stock will grow. I believe the timming is 6 to 18 months out and price should be in the $12 to $15 range ... good luck to all the other believers.

A $267M market cap for a stock that has SO much going for it. It all has been mentioned before: consistent stream of blockbusters in IMAX formats that blow away per screen averages of "normal screens", increased pressure from other large movieplexes to offer IMAX in as many locations as AMC, insider investment of Kevin Douglas, eventual incremental revenue from revenue sharing agreements (no longer will blockbuster box office performance mean very little for IMAX, it will now add to the bottom line)......on top of that, there is no way this is a public company by the end of 2008.

This stock is still under the radar. Exciting offerings in it's theaters and recent possitive figures at the box office will highlight it. In addition 100 new theaters being built will make it attractive at this price level.

Definitely the future.

Just inked deal for new theatres.
Going to the movies these days often doesn't compare to the setups people have in the comfort of their own homes.
IMAX is and always will be really, really cool, and it will continue to stand out more as people look to it as a viable alternative to just going to the movies.

Theaters are getting smacked around because people are staying at home and watching high def DVDs on giant home screens. IMAX screens make going to a movie an event again. Theaters can charge higher prices and people are happy to pay it. The new Batman movie released next summer has some scenes shot specifically for IMAX screens. The company's numbers are unimpressive and I'm not happy with management but the growth of the IMAX format cannot be denied. Short term outperform of the S & P 500. (Fingers crossed).
