Smart CEO seem to have lots of contracts locked up and both Healthcare and Financial legacy systems will soon need integration and warehousing. In addition, my buddy works there and they're efficient about their jobs not to mention they also use my favor VMware which will be IPO in a few weeks here in August.

Another buyout candidate. I have been in the business intelligence world for over 10 years and their data processing tool has the most traction (although not the best). It can be priced for a small shop or a global enterprise. Scalability and the black box syndrome (data goes in, miracle happens here, and data comes out) is a troubleshooting problem, but the demand for the programmers for this tool is the strongest.

As a consultant in the Data Warehousing world I can tell you that no other software even comes close to doing what Informatica does. I've worked in several companies, several environments and all of them had or wished they had PowerCenter for their ETL.

Trading near its low and insider buying. Projected growth of 20% and respectable margins. Kind of wierd that institutional ownership is 104% according to Yahoo. Can someone explain that to me? I like the valuation and think this company will deliver 30% appreciation within a year.

After reading Tim Beyer's article today, I've decided to toss this into my CAPS portfolio. This company and its current valuation mertis some close examination. It looks like it might just be one heck of an investment.

Whenever a CEO buys 1/2 $M worth of his companies stock, it is worth looking into.

Working in technology every day, I am exposed to companies that lead the market but are relatively unheard of by non-techies. Informatica is the undisputed market leader in integration technology. Integration involves consolidating information from multiple systems into one place, and it is something that every company (large and small) has an interest in doing. Most companies will turn to this market leader sooner or later to get their job done.
