This company is poised to explode. Prepare for nice profits
during the next year or so. The stock market is getting ready to have a nice rise overall as we come out of this depressing period.

Why not have another AG compnay going strong. Ag and related industries continue to just rip along. With news the past few days on potash pricing with China and other emerging markets the stock even being an IPO has a lot of room to run up!

Largest US Potash producer poised finanacially for rapid growth in a high demand world market environment that is not exected to slow down for years to come. Confidently add this "Intrepid" stock to your portfolio and make it a core holding. Under priced at $50 ...you will kick yourself in two years for not buying in this low. A fertilizing stock "Miracle Growth" story for sure!

Potash is not a sexy business, but it is a good one none the less. Watch this stock -- it will continue to grow and will be up 20% more from this point within three months.

I bought the hype today, with a trailing stop of course. I think Intrepid will do just fine over the long term, but worry about the price at these levels.

This company's goal is to continue to be the largest producer of potash and langbeinite in the U.S. Since 2004, they have supplied, on average, 1.5% of world potash consumption and 8.5% of U.S. consumption annually.

Intrepid Potash, Inc. owns five active potash production facilities—three in New Mexico and two in Utah—and have the nameplate capacity to produce 1,200,000 tons of potash and 250,000 tons of langbeinite annually. For the nine-month period ended September 30, 2007, they sold approximately 679,000 tons of potash and approximately 132,000 tons of langbeinite, an increase of 31% and 91%, respectively, over the comparable period in 2006.

This should be a nice stock in one's portfolio.

First of all, potash is the hottest agricultural commodity right now, IPI is in the best performing industry, it has strong experienced management, and it is the largest potash producer in the USA.
Demand for the product is very strong and they had stepped up their facilities in NM and UT to achieve maximum output and manufacturing efficiency.
They are a subsidiary of Intrepid Mining LLC, which gives them experience in horizontal drilling and extraction of Potash.

I am bullish on this stock. It makes since right now, even during a down economy farmers will need this nutrient to produce better yields per acreage, and given the weak dollar and gangbuster's exports both should bode well for this company.

I make this recommendation with some trepidation:
1) 50% of operating earnings is transfomed into net earnings (POT = 70%, MOS = 66%, and CMP = 66%)

2) MOS trades at 146x 2007eps, POT at 61x 2007eps, and CMP at 38x 2007eps; IPI if priced at 29 would trade at 116x 2007eps

3) Use of IPO funds are mainly (82%) to buy out the mining company that originally owned the mines (converted to potash and langbeinite mines) and to repay debt (10%)

On the other hand,
1) Worldwide demand for potash seems to be at production capacity and is projected to outstrip production soon, so a "bubble" (characterized by high supply and low demand) is not there despite all-time high potash prices

2) IPI would be the only US producer of KCl, making its prices more appealing to domestic buyers (though the main $$ is to be made in China and India)

3) IPI's average gross margin for potash+langbeinite was $50 / ton, comparable to MOS's margin of $52 / ton. POT somehow manages to make a margin of $99 / ton, which is amazing.

4) It does not appear that global demand for KCl is going to decline anytime soon.

So, I jump on the potash bandwagon given my trepidations and see where this guy goes.
