Transmission is the wave of the future, and ITC is doing everything right.
Recs
Maxim of the Alaska gold rush: Avoid joining the rush. Instead, bring supplies to the miners. Thus, KMP for oil, etc. ITC for electricity.
Recs
Strong company, good dividend, sector tailwinds: all that renewable energy is going to need new transmission lines.
Recs
Steadily increasing revenue, earnings and dividend. Good time to buy it.
Recs
HIgh power transmission lines + preferred provider + infrastructure builder + govt desire to increase network + wind energy = serious moat + growth.
Recs
Recs
Builds electrical transmission lines - great bet for right now (political and infrastructure aims).
Recs
The area they serve s growing and they will need power
Recs
good dividends and positioned well for smart grid rollout
Recs
ITC is building their lines to last. That means over the long term they will not begin to see large costs to maintain their lines. Rapid expansion of wind energy in the plains states means there is lots of room for growth, and ITC is already benefiting from this trend in Kansas and Iowa. They have never missed or a dividend payment.
Recs
One of the easiest/cheapest ways to be eco-friendly and getting wind energy on the grid.

Regulatory advantage

GROWTH OVER NEXT 2 YRS
Recs
Solid fundamentals.
Poised to take advantage of the growing (urgent) need to update the nation's transmission line infrastructure.
Recs
Smart grid with play with a regulatory edge over most utilities... a slow but steady gainer.
Recs
Specializes in electrical distribution. Most other utilities don't.
Recs
I am worried about the recent supreme court ruling that does not give these utilities the right to lay lines without state approval. this could significantly affect the future of ITC and their ability to continue with rapid growth and to realize their ultimate plan of the wind super highway.
Recs
A green future
Recs
I like the prospects of electrical infrastructure upgrades in the US and a mid-cap company like ITC usually makes for good growth opportunities. The Midwestern energy movement will be huge, have you seen the number of wind turbines in the Plains States? Illinois and Indiana alone have huge wind farms visible for miles from the highways. Strong financial statements sold me on this company.
